There is no safe level of exposure to second-hand smoke. Municipalities have made great progress in banning smoking in virtually all indoor spaces. Now, Smoke Free Calgary, many local governments and other organizations are working to reduce smoking in outdoor spaces, particularly crowded areas and places where children are present.
